So the end goal is to get it charging off solar panels daytime and battery when the panels aren''t putting out any power. Here is the problem. I''ve seen a lot of projects online creating simple outdoor remote sensors that work with this setup. 18650 or similar, Tp4056 and a D1 mini with whatever sensors are being used with solar panels to power it / charge the battery.

Do you get the rated amps out of solar panel? : r/SolarDIY
I have a 9.64 rated panel but at peak sun I only get 8 amps. I do have a 20m wire, so total of 40m both ways, but I thought length would only affect the voltage and not amps. So I have a 180w panel but at most I only get 130w clear sunny day with flat to the sun. What am I missing?

Powering a small DC motor via solar power : r/solar
The problem with electrical motors is their ''in-rush'' current, which can be >10x the nominal 60 mA current, the solar panels (probably) can''t deliver that >600 mA, and you have to give that motor a push to start working. If you connect a big capacitor to the solar panel(s) and only switch the motor on after it is fully charged it should work.
